Sopas is truly my all time comforting dish. Enjoying a bowl of hot sopas bring me the memories of my happy childhood. We used to have a small poultry so when we cook this pasta soup in the house aside from the chicken meat my dad would also add up some chicken liver, gizzards and even the chicken feet. It was really tasty! And I remember the more my mom would warm up the sopas it has tendency to thicken but nonetheless it is still really comforting.
And you? what are your happy childhood memories when you eat sopas?
Ingredients:
half a kilo of chicken cut in smaller portions
5 pieces of hotdog cut in about 2cm thick
2 cloves of garlic
1 onion sliced
1 carrot cut in julienne strips
1 cup of cabbage
1/4 cup of evaporated milk
half a kilo of macaroni noodles
1 liter of water
1 chicken bouillon cube
salt, pepper
Procedure:
In a casserole put some cookign oil. Sauté your garlic, onion and carrots. Add your chicken and continue mixing. Put the hotdog and cook for about two more minutes. Pour your water with the chicken bouillon cube dissolved in it. Cover and let it boil. After the first boil add your macaroni noodles and continue cooking for another ten minutes. Then add up your cabbage, milk, salt and pepper. Turn of the fire, the warm liquid will continue cooking the rest of the ingredients. You can also add some chicken liver and gizzards in this soup if you want.

sarap but forget the hotdog
I agree, with hotdog it’s even better
add a little of cornstarch for a creamy look and taste, a few additional veggies such as brocolli for a more nutritious soup, and yes….no hotdog a way better (but hehe…kids love it..)taste is more enhanced if used with filled milk…….
